Boudoir Photography- Frequently Asked Questions
The thought of a boudoir session can be REALLY scary. When talking to women about their session, I get asked all different kinds of questions. So I wanted to compile a list of my 12 most frequently asked questions to give you some insight on preparing for a boudoir session with me!
Do you share my images?
Our number ONE priority is making sure our clients are comfortable, especially with boudoir. It can be a life changing experience, but that also makes it scary! Sometimes, you are learning how to love your body and you aren't ready to share that with the world or sometimes you just want the images to be for your (and your significant other's) eyes and that is something we at Jennifer Diaz Photography respect! It honestly comes down to you and if you want to share photos or not! We will send everyone a model release where you can decided to share all your images that are social media appropriate, some of your images or none of your images. Basically you only have to share what you are comfortable with.
Do I have to wear lingerie?
No way! You do not have to wear lingerie if you are not comfortable with it. It all depends on your personality and comfortability level. We have other outfits in our client closet and you are welcome to bring your own!
Do you offer payment plans?
Yes, we offer flexible payment plans. There is a retainer to book your shoot but the package can be paid in monthly or weekly payments. You can let us know how you would like to set it up.
Is hair and make up included?
Hair and make up is a complementary service done but a professional artist in our studio. I think it is really important for you to feel pampered, and having your hair and make up done is a great way to do that! Our amazing team can help you complete the look whether it's elevated casual or full on glam bombshell! It is really up to you!
Do you photoshop my images?
I do edit all photos using photoshop. My rule of thumb is anything that wasn't on your body two weeks ago or will be gone in the next few weeks (Think pimples and bruises) I remove. I also edit for light, exposure and color balance. I do not edit out anything that is permanent. I truly believe that it can be damaging to have a boudoir session done, and then edit out the parts of yourself that makes you who you are! Part of this process of accepting yourself and seeing your beauty also means not photoshopping out the parts you don't love. If there are some parts you aren't thrilled with currently we are experts at posing and lighting to make sure you look your absolute best!
Where should I buy outfits?
There are a few places to buy outfits from and it depends on what you are getting and the style you want for your session. We do offer an extensive client closet for sizes XS-5X. That being said some of my favorite places to purchase items for the client closet is Adore me, Victoria's Secret, Torrid, and Sugar Cookies. If you are looking for something specific that you cannot find, let me know and I may be able to point you in the right direction.
What type of print products do you offer?
We offer a variety of albums, metal prints and luxury folio boxes with prints in them. Our 8x12 metal print is my absolute favorite product. I love my clients seeing their photos daily displayed in their room to remind them of the beautiful woman they are! " I am IN LOVE with my metal! Do you offer digitals?
Yes! Most of our packages do come with digital images. You can also add them on in our A La Carte list. These digitals are in a locked online gallery, for you do download and share.
I am FREAKING OUT! How can I calm my nerves?
Nerves are all part of this experience. I always say it would be weird if you were NOT nervous! The nervousness at the start of your shoot makes your "wow" moment of seeing your photos for the first time on the back of the camera so much better!
How many outfits do I need to bring?
With us, you actually do not need to bring anything but one black and one nude thong! You can show up in your PJs and leave looking like a bombshell! Our extensive client closet has everything from one piece body suits to gowns to sexy lingerie!
Should I come early to my shoot?
No, there is no need to come early. When you arrive we will have outfits pulled for you and our hair and make up artist will be ready to start! Everything is preplanned so the day goes as smoothly as possible.
Where is the studio located?
We are located in downtown Quakertown PA, right on the main strip! We love being in the most vibrant part of the town. There are so many places for coffee, lunch and shopping within walking distance.
